What was your call sign on RW?

TV39. I was firstly crewed with Flipper and I am now crewed with Kev Murphy.

What’s your nickname?

Depends who you ask! In work it ranges from Waller to fat boy! Although my family are far kinder and refer to me as either Chunk or Jabba!

Why did you become a police officer?

My father was a police officer for 30 years and I grew up with the police force so it seemed the natural thing to do.

What’s your favourite part of the job?

Ignore what Anna said on her answer – 34 love me really! The variety and not knowing what each day is going to hold.

What was your favourite RW moment that you were in?

It’s not a very exciting one but there is one where I get sent to a burglary in progress and from start to finish I was lucky enough to locate the offender near to the crime and arrest him all within 8 minutes of the original call. He was eventually charged with two house burglaries. It is yet to be shown on RW but is in the pipe line to be shown.

What was your favourite RW moment of another officer’s?

Going back several series, it was probably when Pat and Carl's car gave up on them during a pursuit in Slough and you see Pat in the middle of the A4 kicking the car.

What was it like being followed by a camera crew?

Once you get used to them it was no problem. It was like having students in the back of the car with the way they dressed etc – especially with Bob and Ollie!!

If you weren’t a police officer, what do you think you would be doing?

Honestly do not know. Probably working in a bar somewhere.

Which of the cars did you like driving the best?

I would love to make out the 2.9 Diesel but I would be lying!! I have to say the Omega for comfort but the Vectra 2.8 turbo for an all round good car for the job we do.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that not many people know:

When I was married my wife’s second cousin was LuLu which I suppose made her my second cousin also by default – not that I ever met her though!
